There are three Add CARd cases:
1. You add a CARd to your POT
2. You Add a CARd to a Shared POT of another POTer
3. Another POTer adds a CARd to your Shared POT
You add a CARd to your POT
By adding CARds you create the sequence of your content, one CARd after the other.
Use the Add before this CARd tool from the CARd menu. You will find it in the open POT view (the “train”).
Click on it and a new CARd will be added to your POT just before the one you want. Now you can input the data.
You Add a CARd to a Shared POT of another POTer
If you want to collaborate with your fellow POTers you may decide to Add a CARd to their POT.
You will use the same tool but this time you are in another User's POT.
Add the CARd
in the right position and include your inputs. The CARd will be highlighted
with a cyan banner and your Username...and cyan wheels!
The owner of the POT may Accept or Reject your Add. In case of rejection the CARd will be removed. In case the POTer Accepts it, the new CARd will definitely be part of the POT (and turned into the original orange colour).
On the CARd there will always be your Username as contributor.
The owner has always the right to modify the content.
Another POTer adds a CARd to your Shared POT
In this case you are the POT owner who receives the contribute of another POTer. You have to Accept or Reject it. If you Accept the contribute you can edit the content or keep it as it is.
Actually Add CARd is one of the most relevant actions in PicOnTrain.
Add CARd is enabled only for registered Users and always depend on acceptance or rejection by the owner.
Accept and Reject tools are available on the Added CARd.
Revise the content and take your decision. Please remind that you can also modify the accepted CARd.
To stimulate a fruitful and active collaboration our Terms of Use include the following principles:
- The CARd Add must be Accepted or Rejected within 7 days from submission date
- PicOnTrain has the right to make the POT Adoptable if acceptance or rejection does not occur within 30 days from submission date
We sincerely hope we will never apply this remedy.
PicOnTrain Notifications will alert you as soon as an Add to your POT is made or when your Add is accepted or rejected. If you didn’t, please activate these Notifications (Main menu/Settings/Notifications).
